Getting a website is pointless without this FREE TOOL (& how to video)

Getting a website is not as daunting as it once was. With better technology and squillions of free tools it’s faster, easier and cheaper than ever. Free tools like this one are so valuable it not funny!

I believe that for something to be REALLY profitable it must be measurable. If you had a sales team you would test and measure their progress to see if they’re doing their job. Same goes for your website.

Knowing where people are spending most their time on your site and for how long is GOLD.

Google Analytics is free and a very good statistics system. It will tell you if you’re site is working for you or costing you.

It’s also easy to install if you have a website built in Wordpress.org. I’ve even inserted a video here from wordpress.tv (THE place online to get cool videos about how to do stuff in wordpress.

SIDE NOTE: wordpress.tv is another reason we (Big Fish / WebChik) build all our websites with a wordpress platform now… becasue its so well supported on the net, with videos like these, that it makes is SUPER easy to update your site yourself.

ASK YOURSELF… Do you know how to give your website visitors a return ticket?

returning customers

Are people coming back to your site again and again or are they just popping in never to return? Disappearing into the arms of your competitors.

It’s 6 times harder to get a new customer than it is to sell to an existing one so make sure your website gives them a reason to come back.

Fresh content is key and everyone wants more of something that is going to help them – so give them more… more free advice, more useful information - then they’ll come back again and again and better yet – they’ll tell their friends!

The ultimate way to do this is through having a blog (just like this one) so that you can simply add tips and information that will help people with whatever your area of expert experience is.

Be the guru of your industry and people will be begging you to sell to them! Prove that you know what you are talking about. Give them a reason to come back again and again!

The “give and you shall receive” seems like a common theme on my blog and that’s because IT IS!

Whether its a blog of free advice, a free giveaway like a 7 series audio course that brings them back to your site for each item in the series, or a rad little calculator that they can come back and use… MAKE THEM WANT TO COME BACK!

I once even saw a website with this cool little game on it. You’d see how far you could throw a sheep. It was addictive and I went back all the time to beat my sheep throwing score! AWESOME! :)

Oh and before I go… make sure you have stats set up so you can actually monitor whether people are coming back or not. It’s free to set up Google Analytics so just go to my FREE RESOURCES PAGE for the link to  set them up for your site.
