ASK YOURSELF… What jumps out and slaps you in the face on your website?

Ouch!

When it comes to your website, most people only stay on a website for a few short seconds to see if its what they are looking for or of any value to them. In those crucial few seconds you need something that will grab their attention, make them want more, and then most importantly make them DO more. Be it opt in to your free give away,  click for more, contact you or even BUY SOMETHING!

To many people forget the important rule to KEEP IT SIMPLE! Its so old and overused that is seems like a cliche, but as with most thrashed sayings that seem cliche, it’s because ITS TRUE!

Forget the moving pretty flash images or rotating graphics of seemingly relevant photos. A simple page with a strong call to action, or an exciting video will work far better than some bright freaky deaky site.

If there is too much going on then you may as well be shouting at them 2 inches from their face! Work out what you want people to do on your site when they get there and make that the focus!

Remember – unless you’re coca-cola your logo is not what’s going to encourage people to buy from you. So for branding purposes have it there but don’t let that be the thing that stand out the most. That’s not what’s going to sell you and your business.

Think simple! Think Call-to-Action! Think GIVING VALUE!  and you’ll have them begging you for more!
